Halloween is just around the corner and all that I can see are pumpkins everywhere and bunch of aisles dedicated to the Halloween costumes and makeup. Last year, around this time, I was totally surprised when I saw the amount of preparations for the festival. The enthusiasm in the air was so contagious that we too bought a large bag of treats for the children doing rounds of trick-or-treat in our neighborhood.
This year, we did some pumpkin carving and I baked some pumpkin cookies for treating the kids coming home for the upcoming Halloween fest. Isn’t it better to have handmade sweets and gifts for special people around you? I did that too. The cookies are more of crisp ones than the American style chewy one’s. These are more like the ginger snap one’s but with a flavour of pumpkin spice. All this fancy, but with the goodness of oats and pumpkin, isn’t that the best thing to happen on Halloween.
What’s the treat?
I baked some egg-less pumpkin and oats cookies for the Halloween. So instead of treating kids with chocolates and all the unhealthy stuff, I thought of making something more wholesome and fulfilling. The treats are all about ‘Pumpkin spice and everything nice’.
The dough is kneaded perfectly. without leaving any lumps and cracks into the dough. Knead it gently and with all the love..:)
